How to make an email signature

A good email signature is short and scannable: your name, role, and one or two ways to reach you. Type your details on the left and watch the preview update, choose one of the three templates, then copy it. Because the signature is a table with inline styles, it pastes into Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail with its formatting — links, photo, and layout — intact. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is this email signature generator really free?+

Yes — completely free, with no signup, no email required, and no watermark or branding added to your signature. You fill in your details, copy the signature, and paste it into your email client. That's it. We're ad-supported, which is why the tool itself stays free.

How do I add the signature to Gmail?+

Click Copy signature, then in Gmail go to Settings (gear icon) → See all settings → General → Signature → Create new, and paste into the box. Gmail keeps the formatting because the signature is copied as rich HTML, not plain text.

How do I add it to Outlook?+

Copy the signature, then in Outlook on the web go to Settings → Mail → Compose and reply; in the classic desktop app go to File → Options → Mail → Signatures. Create a new signature, paste it in, and set it as your default.

Will my photo or logo show up?+

Yes, if you paste a public image URL in the photo field. The image needs to be hosted online (for example on your website or a public drive link) so email clients can load it — this tool doesn't upload or host images for you. If you leave it blank, the signature simply renders without a photo.

Why does the signature use a table layout?+

Email clients strip out modern CSS like flexbox, grid, and <style> blocks, so the only reliable way to lay out a signature is an HTML table with inline styles. That's exactly what this generator produces, which is why it renders consistently across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.

Is my information saved anywhere?+

No. Everything you type stays in your browser — nothing is sent to a server or stored on our end. Your details are encoded into the page's web address so you can bookmark or reopen your signature, but that link lives only in your browser and anywhere you choose to save it.

Your details stay in your browser and are never uploaded. Add a photo by pasting a public image URL. For information and personal use.
